Functions
How ICAMA functions
The ICAMA douche is comprised of an inner core and an outer casing, which click-fit together and can be pulled apart for cleaning. The base of the inner core has two ports: an inlet port (in the centre) and an outlet port (on one side). However, these can be reversed (see How to use the ICAMA).
The base of the device fits against the entrance of the vagina and acts as a plug. Water or a medicated solution passes through the central inlet port directly to the vagina via a hole at the tip of the outer casing. It then swirls around, flushing the walls of the vagina under gentle pressure and smoothing out the folds, and then exits through the side holes of the outer casing and via the outlet port. When the outer casing and inner core are assembled, the unique design ensures that the incoming cleansing fluid and outgoing fluid do not mix at any stage.
The pressure of the fluid entering the vagina can be increased by squeezing the outlet tube manually, thereby blocking the outlet flow. By pulsing this flow, you can control the degree of hydromassage and increase the sensitivity and tone of the muscles.
The ICAMA douche can be connected to a container bag filled with water or directly to a tap or shower via the connectors. Make sure that the temperature of incoming water does not exceed 37°C (98°F).
The unique construction of the ICAMA has enabled hydromassage to be combined with thorough vaginal cleansing for the first time. Firstly, the ICAMA fits closely against the entrance of the vagina enabling water to put gentle pressure on its walls. Secondly, you can increase and decrease the pressure of water inside the vagina manually. Thirdly, changing the feeder tube from the inlet port to the outlet port results in a different massaging action and sensation.
